PlaidSong & the Rotary Retro Car Fellowship Aviemore Tour

This was a brilliant evening and we met some lovely car enthusiasts! On their Scottish Tour, the Rotary Fellowship enjoyed the most fabulous Scottish weather to take their wonderful vehicles out on the Scottish roads. They visited Cawdor Castle, Fort George, and Culloden and added a couple of distilleries too. The cars are pictured here at Ballindalloch Castle in glorious sunshine.

PlaidSong were asked to come along and sing for the group as part of their first evening's entertainment and we were delighted to join them all. As we were having such amazing weather we took the chance to have a day out and did a bit of hill walking at Cairngorm in the afternoon, what a stunning day of weather and we so enjoyed the views!

Here we are doing our thing in the evening. We chose all kinds of songs to give everyone a little taste of Scottish history and of course, a few Jacobite songs since they were about to visit Culloden and get a full account of the '45.

Jo and Mark, who organised the trip, sent us the pics and some lovely feedback:

"Everyone was enchanted with your stories and beautiful songs, which was a great start to our Scottish tour. The rest of the tour went well on the narrow twisty roads Mark had found, we passed beautiful mountains, lochs and valleys to the various castles, forts, and distilleries..."

We do live in a wonderful country, it's great to share this with others, the heritage and history and to know that our audiences then enjoy it all the more through hearing the songs and stories we tell.
